Robert Scorpio

From Ardrana

Robert Scorpio is a Human paladin of the LifeSpirit who is currently the leader of the Dewelars. While he has lived most of his life in Morelenas, he is originally from another place entirely. Robert was briefly married to a young noblewoman, Alequa Evandor, and they had one son, Duncan, before her death.

Early history

In his younger days, Scorpio was a member of an intelligence organization known as the World Security Bureau. Later, he was named the police commissioner of the city of Port Charles, which found itself suddenly inhabited by a group of people who had appeared there suddenly. He was in the process of conducting an investigation when their leader, a mage named Gandriel, accidentally caught him up in her teleport spell.

Arrival on Ardrana

Finding himself on the strange world of Ardrana, Scorpio decided he would travel with Gandriel and her troupe for a time. He had a number of adventures, including being turned into a lemure and being trapped in the Abyss, before the group went their separate ways.

He then journeyed across the sea, finding himself in the city of Morelenas. He became fast friends with a young priest of Morelen named Lukus the Younger, and the two began their own series of adventures. However, soon Lukus' father, Lukus the Blue, found himself appointed to the White Council. Lukus moved to Morelenas as well, and both he and Scorpio were brought on as advisors.

At court

For a time, Scorpio was happy with this situation. He appreciated being in a position of authority again, and even consulted with Lord Milvey Pallianor regarding the introduction of certain improvements to the city with which he was familiar from his earlier life. He even married Alequa Evandor, a distant cousin of the Pallianors, and together they had one son, Duncan.

However, all this soon came unraveled, as Lady Alequa was killed in an attack on Morelenas, when enemy ships bombarded White Hall with cannon fire. Robert soon became disillusioned and, fearing the city to no longer be safe, sent Duncan away to be raised by his wife's family in Vesqui. Soon thereafter, Milvey passed away, and Lukus the Blue became the new Council President. Lukus the Younger was appointed Baron of Alvinia, and Scorpio told him that he would not accompany him to his new position, and needed to find his own direction.

The Dewelars

As time passed, Scorpio found himself more and more restless in Morelenas. He thought back to his younger days, and his family in another world, and his own family torn apart by a random act. He then resolved that nobody would be forced into that situation as he was, and decided to form an organization that would aid those like him. He named this organization "The Dewelars", after a similar fictional organization in a novel he had read in his youth.

Today, Scorpio leads the Dewelars from their headquarters, which are in an unknown location. He still occasionally takes personal interest in cases, and in certain cases will himself recruit candidates, although it is rare that he actively takes part in a mission. He has only limited contact with Duncan, which he has said he prefers due to the danger inherent in his work.

Robert Scorpio was a PC played by John Proulx, now "retired" to become an NPC.
