White Plume Mountain

For the volcano known as White Plume Mountain, see Mt. Esterrin.

This adventure involved Zorg, Roderick Harper, and a number of others hired by Sunder, at the time a minor nobleman in the region of Hanaellan, to recover several magical weapons that had been stolen from him. The catch was that these weapons were stolen by none other than Keraptis, with whom the realm was at war.

The party made their way into Arin, to one of the wizard's strongholds, built within Mt. Esterrin on the shores of Lake Varn. Though they were able to recover the artifacts, a pair of storied adventurers -- Armadon and Phillip -- were slain on the mission. It also turned out that one of the treasures was the infamous Black Razor. It was carried by Zorg during their return, and he nearly fell victim to its evil curse.
