The Door in the Desert

After their success in bringing down a temple to Kuraliskar, Alysten and her comrades found themselves with time on their hands. Airlia, troubled by the party's decision to shoot at a group of mind-controlled slaves during the mission, left the group, as did the priestess Sashiel. Alysten herself left the group to pursue the study of wild magic in Nazivonema, leaving Corelda as the group's leader.

Of three missions they considered, they signed on to accompany Derryk of Oak on a mission to investigate a mysterious door that had been discovered standing free in the middle of the Cardillic Desert. Unfortunately, the mission was never completed, because Derryk disassociated himself from the group due to a series of antics culminating in him being shot in the back with an arrow by Vel during a battle against a hatori.
